We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven individual to join our award winning and AFR Fast Starter company as our Head of Sales where you will play a pivotal role in leading and developing our sales team, driving revenue growth, and ensuring exceptional client satisfaction. You will be responsible for formulating and executing strategic sales plans, fostering strong relationships with high-net-worth individuals and institutional clients, and identifying new business opportunities within the wealth management industry.
Key tasks and responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, motivate, and inspire a high-performing sales team, providing clear guidance, training, and mentorship to achieve sales targets.
- Set sales goals and objectives, establish performance metrics, and regularly assess team performance, providing constructive feedback and implementing improvement strategies.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, promoting effective communication and knowledge sharing.
Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives and market trends in wealth management.
- Drive revenue growth by identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities, expanding the client base, and increasing wallet share from existing clients.
- Monitor and analyse sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities to identify areas for improvement and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Ensure the effective utilisation of CRM tools and sales systems to track sales activities, pipeline management, and client interactions.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with high-net-worth individuals, institutional clients, and key stakeholders in the wealth management industry.
- Understand clients’ investment goals, risk tolerance, and financial needs, providing tailored solutions and recommendations to maximize client satisfaction.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, staying updated on market trends, investment products, and regulatory changes, and proactively offering strategic advice.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including portfolio management, financial planning, and compliance, to ensure seamless service delivery to clients.
- Liaise with senior management to provide regular updates on sales performance, market insights, and strategic recommendations.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings, promoting the company’s brand and thought leadership.
Qualifications, Aptitude & Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. A postgraduate degree is preferred.
- Proven track record of success in sales leadership within the wealth management industry, with a focus on high-net-worth individuals and institutional clients.
- Strong understanding of investment products, financial markets, and wealth management trends.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to drive revenue growth.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
- Relevant certifications such as CFA, CFP, or CWM are a plus.
