Jaaims terminology

WHAT DOES 52 WEEK HIGH/LOW MEAN? IS IT GOOD OR BAD IF THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO IS HIGH.

The 52 week high/low is the highest or lowest amount a stock has traded during a 12 month period. Whilst a buying/selling decision should not be made solely on these numbers, it can be used as a trend indicator.

WHAT DOES 'TICKER' MEAN?

A ticker is an abbreviation used to identify a particular equity or security.

WHAT DOES MARKET CAP MEAN?

This is the current valuation of a specific equity or security. This valuation changes daily in line with the share price. For example, a company with 20 million shares selling at $50 a share would have a market cap of $1 billion.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ‘AVAILABLE, MARGIN AND OPENED’?

Available: This is the total available funds in your broker account before your fund allocation has been applied.

Margin: This is the total value of the equities purchased by Jaaims on your behalf for your current portfolio.

Opened: This is the amount of trades Jaaims currently has opened for your current portfolio.

WHAT DOES THE STATUS OF A STOCK MEAN? AND WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT OPTIONS IT COULD SHOW?

This is Jaaims rating of the equity. Jaaims uses the ratings short, hold and long where a short signal indicates Jaaims believes the value of the equity will decrease. A long signal indicates Jaaims believes the value of the equity will increase. A hold signal indicates Jaaims does not have a long or short view, so no trades will be made.

WHAT ARE THE NUMBERS IN GREEN/RED NEXT TO PRICE AND WHAT DOES IT MEAN?

Current balance represents the total liquidity of your holdings. This is the total value of your shares and equities held with your broker.

Available funds represent the net value of cash available to place trades with. This is also generally referred to your available cash within your broker account.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN WHEN A MARKET IS CLOSED?

This means the exchange market that the particular equity trades on is closed and is no longer accepting orders for shares.

WHAT IS A QUOTE? - "TRADES AND QUOTES ARE ACTIVE"

Before you can buy or sell shares, you first need to receive a price for the current buy or sell rate for an equity. Obtaining this price is what a quote is.

WHAT DOES NET GAIN MEAN? (IN PORTFOLIO RETURN)

This is the ratio of return on your portfolio by Jaaims. Net gain is the amount of money you have made over a 12 month period. For example, if you started with $10,000 in the Jaaims app and after 12 months you had $12,000. The increase is $2000 and therefore the net gain would be 20%.

JAAIMS' TRADING INDICATORS

Alongside the equity names you will now see a bell icon which represents the Trade Predictor and a rocket icon which represents the Hyper Rating. These predictive indicators have been developed to assist you in creating a high performing portfolio and the new indicators are explained below:

Hyper Rating: The hyper rating is a performance indicator which demonstrates the AI is becoming optimised for that specific indicator. It also shows that Jaaims has a greater than 80% success rate of winning trades.

Trade Predictor: The trade predictor is a predicting indicator that demonstrates there is a high probability that a Jaaims recommendation will change from hold to Long/Short within the next 48 hours.

WHAT IS A POWER RATING?

The Jaaims Power Rating is a confidence indicator for when Jaaims has a high amount of confidence in particular equity/stock’s prospects for profit in the near future. However, this isn't guaranteed.

WHAT IS ACTIVE PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT TECHNOLOGY?

Active Portfolio Management Technology (APMT) is Jaaims proprietary technology which actively manages your portfolio.

JAAIMS RETURN RATE

The Jaaims Return Rate is the absolute return Jaaims has made through its recommendations for an equity. The Jaaims returns will differ from general return amounts on each stock owing to Jaaims opening and closing at optimum times to maximise returns. The Return Rate value will reset to zero at the commencement of every new year.

WHAT IS A BROKER?

A Broker is a firm that acts as an intermediary between an investor and a securities exchange. A Broker acts as an agent for a customer and charges the customer a commission for its services. You can view our Broker partners here.
